A story about who we are

Founded in 2015 by UCLA instructor Ambrose Chan, Popcorn Robot is a school that teaches full stack web development. Popcorn Robot combines the best of both traditional and non-traditional schools, making coding accessible to non-technical people. Our headquarter is located in sunny Los Angeles, California.

Ambrose Jason Chan
Mentor

Ambrose is a teacher who loves to travel and explore new cultures. He teaches at UCLA specializing in C#. Before teaching, he worked as a senior consultant with companies like Honda, Newscorp, Targus, Edison and Allergan.

Brandon Madison
Technical Lead
Brandon is a full stack software developer and a top graduate from Popcorn Robot. He focuses on solving operational problems with digital solutions. He enjoys investing in real estate and exploring the inner secrets of Southern California.

Amanda Grace Lazo
Creative Consultant

Amanda is a licensed marriage and family therapist and school psychologist from Los Angeles. She graduated from UC Irvine, Pepperdine and Alliant University. She dabbles in art as a hobby, creates pieces for events, and uses art and creativity in her clinical practice.

Stephanie Craven
Creative Consultant

Stephanie currently works as a physician in Salt Lake City. She has grown up around artistic people for most of her life, but focused her efforts towards math and science while in school. Now that she’s out of school she’s exploring more of her artistic outlet, and enjoying using her creative side.
